This time of year at the shelter, we hear the same question again and again: Do you have any kittens? Kittens are adorable and sweet and fun, but they only stay kittens so long. Why not consider making room in your heart for an older kitty? We have several “senior” cats here at the shelter longing to find a fur-ever lap to sleep in, but this week we’re featuring Camilla, a loving and lazy Calico longing to find her home. Camilla is a laid-back older lady who loves to spend her days lazing near a sunny window. Don’t be put off by her old lady eyes, take this soft sweetheart home, and give her a loving place to spend the rest of her days! Want to meet her? You can find her at our satellite kitty-home at Aubuchon Hardware in Farmington.
Our Dog of the Week, is another special pet: Katie is a favorite here at the shelter. She knows how to obey basic commands, she’s great on the leash, and she’s a sweet and loving dog. But Katie has spent a LOT of time here at the shelter, so she needs an owner willing and able to teach her about life in a home, someone to introduce her to new things like bikes and UPS drivers. She’s goofy, playful, and full of energy, so she would be the perfect dog for someone who’s always on the go. She loves meeting new people and making new friends, but she would do best as an only dog in a home with no cats.
She’s a people-pleaser and happy-natured—could she be a good fit for your family?
